Three New Talks and Regular Tickets Are Here
September 4, 2026
Hi there,
We are excited to share three new talks with you. They cover type hints, building software with AI, and moving data from a space telescope all the way to your laptop.
François Voron: Type hints with superpowers

If you have used Annotated[...] because the FastAPI docs told you to, Type hints with superpowers: Inside typing.Annotated is for you. François will explain how FastAPI and Pydantic turn type metadata into dependency injection and validation, and when the same pattern is worth using in your own library APIs. 🪄
Samuel Colvin: Constrained Optimism

In Constrained Optimism, Samuel explores software development as constrained optimization: deciding what the AI should optimize, setting the boundaries, and building useful feedback loops. Through three real-world projects, he’ll show how to guide AI-written code without pretending the human has left the building. Less “software factory,” more thoughtful model herding. 🤠
Ben Falk: From Light to Byte

In From Light to Byte: Who Delivers the Data?, Ben takes us behind the scenes at the Space Telescope Science Institute to explain how astronomical data reaches the people who need it. The route includes streaming database responses, S3 redirects, asynchronous Celery workers, and NGINX. In other words, your request has probably never travelled this far. 🔭
You can find all three talks in the schedule, with more titles still to come.
Regular tickets are now available
The Early Bird ship has sailed. Regular tickets are now on sale.
Each ticket includes a full day of talks, morning and afternoon coffee breaks, lunch, and a limited-edition FastAPI Conf 2026 T-shirt.
Coming with colleagues? Book 5 or more tickets for 5% off, or 10 or more for 10% off.
One small T-shirt puzzle: we are saving the full design reveal for later, but here is your clue. Its character can regrow its limbs and has somehow found itself cycling through Amsterdam. Any guesses? 👀
See you in Amsterdam! 🚀
